Angel Shaver, Executive Director (814)643-4241 [email protected] My name is Angel Shaver and many of you have at least one or two fond 'Memories" of me! I have had a decades-long passion for serving our wonderful Huntingdon community whether it was through taking care of you at local restaurants or pulling off flawless events at Juniata College. I've recently made a career change that will allow me to pursue that passion full-time as your new Executive Director of HCC. My vision in this role is to help the Center raise the funds they need to expand and continue to serve its purpose in our town. I'm most excited about building relationships with our youth and expanding our weekly activities at the Center. I'm so excited to give back to a town that has given so much to me and my beautiful family. I can't wait to meet you at the Center!
Brandi Corbin-Helton, Operations Assistant (814)643-4241 [email protected] Although I am fairly new to the role of operations assistant, I am not new to HCC! I’ve had the privilege to coach at HCC Gymnastics for 8 years, serving as program coordinator/head coach for the past 5 years. I’ve also worked as an administrator for Camp HCC and volunteered with the track & field program. My employment history prior to joining the Center includes 10 years as Claims Services Supervisor at Mutual Benefit Group, 2 years as a Purchasing Secretary for the PA Fish & Boat Commission and 25+ years as a “volunteer” bookkeeper at Corbin Alignment Shop. My time at the Center has given me the opportunity to meet and work with hundreds of amazing kids throughout our community. I take pride in knowing that we have created a safe space where they can grow, thrive, and unapologetically be themselves.
Maggie McManamon, Athletic Program Coordinator [email protected] I’m a “Huntingdon Lifer”—born, raised, and back in the town that was once named Budget Travel’s 5th coolest small town in America. As the youngest of four, I was always tagging along to every HCC practice and game, patiently waiting for my turn to play. It was through the Community Center’s programs that my love for sports was sparked, and that passion has shaped my career ever since. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Sport Administration from Lock Haven University, and I am currently working toward a Master’s Degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from Commonwealth University. My journey has led me to work in professional, collegiate, and high school athletics, as well as at a private sports facility. Now, working as the Program Coordinator at The Community Center and being a member of the Sports and Recreation Committee feels like coming full circle. I’m excited to contribute to the programs that were so impactful to me growing up, and to help expand and enhance the opportunities for today’s youth. In addition to my role at The Community Center, I’m also a dedicated High School Girls Soccer Coach, where I get to share my love for the game with the next generation of athletes.
